“Plastic is that rarest of publishing experiences, a story released in prose and music.”

Out now from Sony Music and North Street Records, Plastic: The Album tells the story of the novel through songs by the artist Cindertalk (My Brightest Diamond, Son Lux), featuring lyrics from the musical numbers in the book.
The artist Stranger Cat stars on the album (a frequent collaborator of Sufjan Stevens), singing in the voice of main character, Erin James. Co-produced by Grammy-winner Peter Katis (The National, Hozier), the album leads listeners through a broken plastic world much like our own.
